Civil/Structural Installation
See attached PROJECT PROFILE
The Prospect Development is located on the upper reaches of the Rogue River watershed in Jackson County. The Diversion was built in 1932.
In September of 2003 JR Merit was awarded phase I of the flume replacement project. The project consisted of the removal of 1500 feet of wood stave flume and replacing it with a combination of steel tubs supported on a timber structure and concrete lined earthen canals. The JR Merit team worked with the customer and provided the design for the steel flume.
PacifiCorp had expected to take an outage which affected 35 MW in excess of 65 days. The JR Merit Team developed a plan to complete the project in 29 days. This allowed the customer additional generating time that ultimately helped offset the cost of construction.
